I am an award-winning graphic designer and creative director with over twenty years of experience in digital and analogue media. Let me help you scale up your business and communicate your message. Let’s work on your corporate identity and your new innovative digital product—and then, let’s advertise it together!

Design can never be an end in itself. I work for my clients and I design with their customers and the users of their products in mind. I design for people. And I believe in a triad of design: I am convinced that its functions—technical-practical, formal-aesthetic and social-symbolic—are not exclusive to each other, but rather that the best designs consider all three dimensions.

I am a team player and a team leader.

A bit more about me.

I was born and raised in Vienna, where my parents met while working for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. While studying political science at the University of Vienna, I started designing and developing websites for others, it was the late 90s. The web was young. One of my customers, the Austrian Press Agency, hired me, after I refused them two times. As a member of APA’s Webfactory I also worked on projects for big external customers, from car manufactures and banks to Austrian ministries. I know how to code a website, but designing became an obsession. So, after a few years, I changed departments. I now was part of APA’s Designcenter, where I held the position of art director (digital), until, in 2010, I took over the lead of Designcenter and became senior art director for APA-Group and all its subsidiaries. In 2016 I, additionally, became founding member of APA-Medialab, an in-house innovation-laboratory.

At APA my team was responsible for the evolution of the corporate design of APA-Group, on all touch points along the customer journey. We co-conceptualized and designed innovative online and print campaigns and we were integral part in the development of almost all digital products of APA-Group, be it OS-based, online or mobile apps. We also proactively implemented a proper UX process, including agile methods, design sprints, rapid prototyping, testing and building new cross-departmental networks along the way, working closely with management and selecting and coordinating external service providers.

Since 2021 I am, again, working independently—in association with my colleagues from Vektorama design studio.

If you would ask me about my passions, besides designing, I guess, it’s a strange mix. I can study old photos and maps for hours, I like history and I think we ought to learn from it. I also like perfumes and sometimes review them (in German language only, sorry!). Quite regularly, you will find me running for an hour or two, while listening to podcasts or music. And, yes, music. I graduated from soul to jazz, to rap and electronic music, I even started to produce music myself, because I wanted to learn more about harmony and music theory. I’ve translated some paintings by Alexandra Dragon to music, as part of a shared exhibition in 2003, for example. A knowledge, that also helps me in my everyday work, when it comes to sound design, animations or general multimedia projects. Here, also my enthusiasm for photography comes in handy. My photo blog was one of the most popular ones of the mid-zero years. And then there is Malta, the small, rocky archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. I’ve spent many holidays there as a child and I still come back to it whenever time allows me. It’s my second home.
